Wordpress plugin: Link Cloaking Plugin

I just found a good Wordpress plugin to cloak affiliate links or any links I want, this plugin named as ‘Link Cloaking Plugin‘. Since I got problem with the GoCodes Wordpress plugin (Wordpress plugin to cloak links) when I trying to upgrade it, so I try to find another good alternatives to cloak any links. And my hunting ended at ‘Link Cloaking Plugin’.

I am still using GoCodes Wordpress plugin for this blog, because there’re quite many cloaked links using GoCodes in this blog that very time consuming if I convert those GoCodes cloaked links to ‘Link Cloaking Plugin’. But I have been using it on my other blogs.

I think ‘Link Cloaking Plugin’ has more features than other free similar Wordpress plugins like Gocodes, Affiliatemask, link-mask, permacop, etc. Here’s the features list taken from its official site:

Choose what to cloak – all links, only the links you specify or no links at all.
Choose where to cloak – posts, pages or both.
Configure the URL – you can set the “prefix” part of the URL (see examples below).
Exception list – links pointing to domains in this list will not be cloaked. For example, this is useful if you have chosen to cloak all links but don’t want to cloak the links to your own domains.
Compatible with all browsers – the link cloaker plugin doesn’t use JavaScript so it will work even for visitors that have disabled JS.
“Smart” cloaking – relative, ambiguous or malformed URLs will not be cloaked. Better safe than sorry.

And there’re three things I love from this plugin:

No need to change .htaccess file since ‘Link Cloaking Plugin’ does it automatically. Instead of GoCodes.
The hits statistic feature. Instead of other similar plugins don’t provide this feature, except GoCodes.
Its feature in managing cloaked links, you can do it manually or automatically cloak all external links. Just check it out how it works on your Wordpress dashboard under “Settings” and “Tools” menu.

Several updates will applied soon

Some of my efforts to build and promote this blog are giving me quite well result. The stats – traffic, backlinks, subscribers – of this blog and my online earning increased. As parts of my efforts I’ve planned several updates on this blog. I hope these updates will make this blog more attractive.

Well, here the updates:

Create advertise page, resources page, and money makers page. I need to create those pages to accommodate this blog needs.
Improve the about page of this blog.
Just come in my mind to create a new navigation that will be placed at home page, on the top of latest article. But I don’t think it’s quite useful.

Of course, another update is improving the blog content. Simultaneously with my efforts, my experiences, and my learning in building a better blog, so the content should be better. Yups, the ability will grows simultaneously with the knowledge and experience.

Tips for making a web 2.0 blog post

There are several different ways to market your blog post. Below is a list of outlined a step-by-step strategy for marketing your blog post using Web 2.0 sites and or using Web 2.0 ways.

Your ping list has to be in order. Please check out the ping list service if you don’t have a ping list you are happy using. The first part of marketing your post starts with your ping list.
You must tag your post. Simple Tags is a required plugin for Wordpress blogs. Simple Tags will allow you to categorize content based on a tagging engine. Without a doubt, Simple Tags is one of the most powerful Wordpress plugins. Each time you make a post add your keywords as tags at the bottom of your post as well as to your Wordpress pages. Another good one plugin is headspace2, just check it out. Please note, tagging your post also means better Search Engine Optimization (SEO) result.
Tag Technorati throughout your post. For example, this post is about Web 2.0 and blog posts. Using this approach will keep your posts at near the top of the list at Technorati.
Syndicate your post. Syndicate your post and generate some immediate traffic, through this way you will be able to distribute your content via feed readers.
Make sure that when you sign up for accounts at places like StumbleUpon or Digg and other social bookmarking sites, you look for the buttons they give you to put on your browser so you can easily submit content from your site and elsewhere without logging in to each site manually. To make it simple please use WP plugin or tools to accommodate almost of social bookmarking sites, such as: Sociable and ShareThis.
