Ideas for blog contest
You often find various blog contest methods out there. It really interesting and it also have some benefits and advantages for both blogger and readers.
My self had never try blog contest that offer decent or huge amount of money/stuff prize. This blog just get started in a few weeks ago, so it’s not precise time to make a blog contest.
Starting a blog contest
If you are ready to create a blog contest and having enough money or stuff given to the winners, please begin the contest by preparing any necessary information to make the contest successful such as:
- Plan the rule
- Plan the contest criteria
- Setting up the prizes
- Read other blog contest post
- Write attractive post about your contest
- Make it sticky so that easy to sees by visitor by putting information about the contest on the top of your blog till end of the contest
Well, you’ll get some advantages by making a blog contest. There’re some advantages for blogger by creating a blog contest such as:
- Generate buzz – generate traffic and backlink
- Build up community and increasing your blog readers
- Get closer to your readers by giving them prizes
It’s a neat and attractive way to generate traffic and backlink for your blog. It can be a good way to keep your blog buzz going and attracts some link juice from other bloggers. 
Contest requisite Ideas
Here are some ideas about blog contest criterions. Usually a requisite to join to the contest is writing a post about that contest. But you can try other requisite, not only by writing a post about that contest. I suggest for some contest participant requisite such as:
- Writing a post about that contest
- Reader comments
- Top commentator
- Subscribe to blog feed
- Adding the blog url to social bookmarking sites (technorati, stumbleupon, etc)

Blog contest are one of the ways to gain a huge kind of visitors but you have to be ready with an attractive prizes or else people will not join the contest and make your blog visitors disappear quickly as their coming…
What i’m suggest is make sure that you have a huge kind of prize or at least try to make some JV’s with others blog that can sponsor some prizes..
I think that are so many blogger’s out there that ready to give some prizes with just a link to their blog.
