Some wordpress errors and how to fix them

Yesterday I got quite many pique errors on my wordpress blog, then I decide to upgrade my wordpress blog to newest version 2.7.1, I hope by upgrading can fix the problems. But not, the error still occurred even the error is increasing more than before.

Here’re some errors I found before I upgrade my wordpress blog:

WordPress database error MySQL server has gone away
Cannot login to the dashboard. It keeps asking me for the password

And Here’re some errors I found after I upgraded my wordpress blog:

WordPress database error MySQL server has gone away
Cannot login to the dashboard. It keeps asking me for the password
500 internal server error
Page not found

I really don’t know what is the problem exactly. I just did some resolve steps from several blog that I think can resolve those errors.

I have made change wp-includes/wp-db.php file. Please visit ‘Workaround for WordPress database error: [MySQL server has gone away] for different versions of Wordpress‘ for more information.
Clearing up .htaccess file and disable some plugins. For more information please visit here.
Trying to clear cookies. For more information please visit here. Here’s also you might find something useful ‘Fix for wordpress 2.6 can’t login‘.

I did steps above in the adjacent. So I don’t know which action can resolve the error exactly. Now my wordpress blog is running well again, there’re no errors again.

If you have experience like mine above, please feel free to share your experience and how to fix the error. It could be useful for other, since what I’ve done above seemingly quite complicated.

Btw, those wordpress errors above only happened on my manual installation blog. There’re no any problems and errors with my fantastico installation wordpress blog.

Yup. I do have some problems when i upgrade my blog to WP 2.7.

i havent came across such probs with WP anytime. i m with wp 2.7 and haven’t upgraded to 2.8 yet. wat do u say about 2.8 ???

I’ve tried WP 2.8 and also 2.8.1, there’re some problems with javascript. Some themes or plugins are not compatible with the newest WP, it caused drag and drop does not work.
